Opens with Tarocco orange — a sweet, richer variety of Italian orange — lifted by the zesty sparkle of grapefruit and the warm spice of cardamom (a warm spice deeply familiar in South Asian cooking). The opening is modern and confident, citrusy and slightly spiced, without ever feeling sharp or thin.
The heart brings in clary sage, patchouli, and geranium — dry, herbal, and quietly complex. Not the Same as "The One for Men" This is The One Pour Homme — a 2025 reformulation by perfumer Jean-Christophe Hérault, built around Orange, Cardamom, Grapefruit, Clary Sage, Patchouli, Geranium, Amber, Tobacco, and Cedarwood. It is different from the earlier "The One for Men Eau de Parfum" (2015), which opened with coriander, basil, and grapefruit, moved into ginger, orange blossom, and cardamom, and closed on tobacco, amber, and cedar. If you tried the older version years ago, this newer edition leans more citrus-forward with noticeably stronger, longer-lasting performance.
